  • Department of Computer Science had signed an MOU with Avodha Edutech Private Limited to train our students towards Job Ready Courses, offer them internships and lead them towards placements

Guest Lectures conducted:

  • Dept. of Computer Science organized a Guest Lecture on “JAVA for Industrial Automation” for III BSc(MPCS & MSCS) and II MSc(Maths with Comp.Sci) students on 24th November, 2022. The Resource person was Mr. Bhargav, Java Trainer from PacketPrep. The speech was centered on “Gap between Industry & Academics”. He enlightened, apart from curriculum specialized training is must to secure a challenging position in the competitive arena.
  • Dept. of Computer Science organised a Guest Lecture on Cyber Security for UG-II,III B.Com and I.BSc Physical Sciences students on 20th October, 2022(online mode) by Ms.Advaitha.K,Cyber security Analyst from Hala Infosec

  • Department of Computer Science conducted One day Fdp on "Database Connectivities" on 18th July 2022. The Resource person of the FDP was Mr. Arjun Rao from Aurora Colege.

Workshops conducted:

  • 1st to 6th September 2022 - Department of Computer Science conducted a Workshop on Robotic Process Automation by Mr. Sanjay from Sansah Solutions pvt. Lmtd. 60 students from II MPCS, MSCS and MSDS registered and attended the workshop
  • 2 Day workshop on " Online Simulation tools for Digital Circuits ' is conducted by Department of Computer Science for 1st year M. Sc Maths with Comp. Sc. Students on 18th and 19th July 2022. 11 students participated in the Workshop and Mrs. Bhagyashree from St. Ann's Mallapur is the Resource person of the workshop
  • The Department had conducted a 6 day Workshop on C Language on from 11 March-18th March 2022 for I M.Sc Physics Students. Mrs. Udaya Lakshmi, Mrs Kala Bharathi, Mrs. Mary Pushpa and Mrs. Vedasri were the resource persons for the Workshop.
  • Department of Computer Science had arranged a Two day workshop on “Developing Real time applications using Arduino” for B.Com final year students on 3rd and 4th December 2021. Mr. Mohammed Mohiddin from AIT Global India Pvt. Ltd was the Resource person for the workshop.
  • Department of Computer Science had conducted a Two day Workshop on “Developing Real time applications using Aurdino” for final MSCS students on 26th and 27th November 2021. The Resource person for the workshop was Mr. Mohammed Mohiddin from AIT Global India Pvt. Ltd.
  • On the occasion of World Nature Conservation Day, The Dept. of Computer Science organized a Workshop as an initiative towards an Eco friendly practice of making Seed Rakhi’s. The speaker Miss. Aishwarya, Vice-President of Zagg Networks and Pious Alumni has motivated and brought awareness among the students about Eco friendly practices and how to grow a plastic-free seed rakhis to promote a green Raksha Bandhan among people. Nearly 140 students from various groups participated enthusiastically in this workshop.
  • Department of Computer Science organised a Competition in the month of August 2021, on Grow Green plantable Rakhi, students were asked to make a video on making a Seed Rakhi with all eco-friendly materials. Total 28 students participated and four winners were declared on 22nd Aug 2021, on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan and all the participants were given e-certificates.

  • Department of Computer Science in collaboration with Physical science departments, life science departments and Arts department had conducted orientation programme for I yr, B.Sc and BA students of 2022-23 batch on 14th September 2022

  • Department of Computer science had organised a Career Guidance Programme for final B.Sc. students on 10th December 2021. Mr. Chandra Mohan from Erudite Coaching Centre was the Resource person on the occasion.
  • Dept. Of Computer Science and Placement Cell in Association with IIDE Organised an Online Career Guidance Programme on “RESUME BUILDING” for III BSC and III BCOM students on 30th Oct,2021.
  • The Department conducted an Orientation Session for II Yr B.Sc. Computer Science students on Certificate courses related to latest trends in computers by Mrs. Sanjay from Sansah solutions on 17th November 2021.
  • An Orientation Session was conducted by the Department for Final B.Sc. Computer science students on Certificate courses being offered by Avodha Education on 24th November 2021

Field Trips:

  • On July 8, 2022, Departments of Physics and Computer Science arranged educational field trip to National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), Jeedimetla, Hyderabad and Telangana State Forest Academy , Dhulapally, for 54 students of M.Sc(Physics and Maths) accompanied by Mrs. Vedasree (Dept. Of Computer Science), Dr.Komala and Dr Sangeetha Lakshmi from Dept.of Physics
  • The Department of Computer Science organized a field trip for 22 students of I Year/I SemM.Sc (Maths with Comp.) and I Year/II SemB.Sc (MSDS) students on occasion of Open Day Celebrations at Osmania University on 25th March 2022

  • The Computer Labs are popular spot to work on projects and to carry out regular lab practical. Labs are equipped with high end PC computers, high speed network and storage, LCD projectors and printers.
  • Computers have internet access and wide range of software applications – including Financial Accounting, Statistical, Programming, Multimedia and Simulation software’s.
  • The department maintains departmental library with about 100 books for easy access to students.
