Program Outcomes

Program outcomes refer to broad objectives of a degree program, particularly as they pertain to the quality and productivity of the program. The faculty in each academic degree program at St. Pious X Degree and PG College for Women, articulates what they want students in their program to have achieved--in terms of knowledge, skills, and values--when they complete the program referred to as Program Outcomes. By articulating these as things that students will know or be able to do, the benefits of a program of study can be clearly communicated to prospective students, to employers, and to others in the institution. The program’s content, student experiences, and teaching methodologies are then aligned in an optimal way to help students achieve these learning outcomes. The college employees a continuous improvement process to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of each academic program. Striving towards achieving the mission of the college the efforts are directed to equip the students with an

  • Ability to build a strong foundation of knowledge in different disciplines of their study
  • Ability to apply critical thinking, decision making, and reasoning skills in the process of quality education
  • Ability to integrate knowledge, skill and attitude that will sustain an environment of learning and creativity
  • Ability to develop an attitude for working effectively and efficiently in any competitive environment
  • Ability to articulate ideas, communicate effectively, in writing and verbally
  • Ability to use current techniques, skills, and tools in the field of ICT
  • Ability to appreciate the benefits of experiential learning by inculcating good work habits, time management and self discipline.
  • Ability to collaborate with others from different disciplines in the recognition that multidisciplinary approaches are necessary to address the major issues facing society
  • Ability to act with an informed awareness of issues and participate in civic life through volunteering
  • Ability to recognize the need for, and have the preparation to engage in independent and life-long learning

Program Outcome

PO1: Teaching, Mentoring, guiding, orienting the management graduates (with the graduates from different disciplines) to master the conceptual and technical knowledge and skill sets of Business Administration & Management, grounded with core values of the NAAC & ST. Pious ; and eventually enable them to emerge as efficient and effective managers; and grow over a period as effective Human Resource with excellence in any business entity, and in the process ultimately contributing to the nation development.

PO2: The Course in its teaching learning process envisaged quality of management education with industry interface and also by integratting the Couorse outcomes, Course Specific outcomes which are grounded with Core Values to ensure effective evaluation, Promotion and Sustenance of quality in Management Education to enable producing effective managers to contribute to business entity, sociciety and the nation.

PO3: To continously upgrade and sustainin the excellence in Teaching Learning Process, using ICT and developing new mechanism of delivery and participatory approach, to have a meaningful management education to the comfort and satisfaction of learners, with learner centric approach, focussed towards producing effective managers.

PO4: The students are provided with opportunity, to get exposure and learning experience, with the Guest Lectures, Workshops and Seminars on periodical intervals, to ensure up gradation and updating their knowledge and skills sets with the contemperary issues on management practice. This is to ensure the students readiness for placement with regard to the latest developments on various management subjects.
