Welcome to Department of Hindi


Hindi is a national language of India. Department of Hindi repository of invaluable knowledge of ancient Hindi Literature. The Department through its committed efforts achieved a pass percentage of 99% by conducting Unit Tests, Quarterly Exams and Pre-Final for the students. Students are encouraged to do projects and participate in Inter-collegiate competitions. Department is providing a library of 2000 books. Students are motivated through Camtasia and PowerPoint presentation.


Objectives of our Department are as follows:

  • To preserve and promote India’s linguistic interests.
  • To promote Hindi as a global language.
  • To instill human values inherent in its literature.
  • To facilitate in students: a love for reading, assessing the character and the use of language.
  • To develop many essential skills of vocabulary enhancement and sentence structure.
  • To apply the new words learnt in their daily spoken language using Hindi Grammar book.

  • A workshop was held on 5th Aug 2017 in III and IV Semester syllabus at Nizam College .

Guest Lectures:

  • A Guest Lecture was conducted on 4 Sep 2017, “Hindi Dasha aur Dhisha”  by Dr.  Shivhar Biradar from Aurora Degree College.
  • “Share a meal” is an extension activity at DivyaDisha -Balikaniketan, Bodduppal.
  • An Outreach Program was at Murukula Basthi on 15th Aug 2017.

Out Reach Programs:

  • In its pursuit to enrich the knowledge of primary school children the department has conducted competitions on 5th & 8th January 2018 at Government Upper Primary School, Nacharam. Students has participated with enthusiasm, the competitions were conducted in Essay writing and Drawing.
  • Organized a community programme under Swach Bharath – Swach Hyderabad on 21st January 2018. The programme was headed by the corporator of Tarnaka Mrs. Saraswathi, students & Faculty of department of Sanskrit and Hindi of the college, President and office bearers of Nagarjuna Nagar Community Welfare Association, House wife’s and others have participated in the Swach Bharath programme.
