BBA is a three-year professional undergraduate course in Business Management. It is open to students from all the three streams: Science, Arts and Commerce. The BBA course offers knowledge and training in management and leadership skills to prepare them for managerial roles and entrepreneurship. It is a Professional course affiliated to Osmania University. The course offers specialization in Finance, Human Resource Management and Marketing. As per the guidelines issued by Osmania University , the college has adopted the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) & will be following Cumulative Grade Point Average(CGPA).
In our department, teaching is not only a profession but a passion. It has an outstanding academic track record of securing gold medals and university ranks from Osmania University. Each and every faculty member interacts well with students and motivates them to pursue higher education. Faculty members identify the learners’ needs through assessment tests and interaction. Steps are taken to explore the hidden talent and originality among students. The department encourages student projects, arranges guest lectures by eminent professors and scientists from national laboratories, and also organizes field trips on a regular basis.

On 30th October 2024, Prof. R. Sushama from the Department of Business Management presented three research papers at the 46th All India Accounting Conference and International Seminar in Kolkata. The papers explored topics such as the impact of greenwashing on sustainable finance, insider trading in bank mergers, and the impact of GST on SMEs in India.

Student Exchange Programs
On June 29th and 30th, 2024, St. Pious X Degree & PG College for Women proudly participated in the Regional Round of the National Financial Literacy Quiz 2024, held at the NISM campus, Patalganga, Mumbai, and organized by NISM in collaboration with SEBI. The college qualified in both UG and PG categories, represented by Ms. Charitha and Ms. Rakshitha (BBA III), showcasing strong financial acumen and commitment to financial literacy.
On 8th July 2024 at 10:00 AM, the Department of Business Administration conducted a Project Orientation session for BBA III year students in the Conference Hall. The session was led by Prof. R. Sushma, In-charge Principal of the MBA College, and was attended by around 100 students. The orientation aimed to guide students on project planning, execution, and presentation, marking a crucial step in their academic journey.
On 23rd September 2024, II BBA students attended an Entrepreneurship Orientation Program on Industrial Awareness at NSIC Technical Services, Hyderabad, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The session covered key topics such as MSME classification, registration procedures, government schemes, and NSIC support services. Students also received certificates of participation. The program included a motivational talk and concluded with a campus tour showcasing industrial plants and machinery, offering students real-world insights into entrepreneurship.
On 4th February 2025, BBA 2nd-year students participated in the Environment Conservation Workshop held in the Conference Hall. The session featured guest speaker Ms. Padma Juluri, a renowned faculty member at IECA and expert in education management. Ms. Juluri led engaging discussions on handprints vs. footprints, environmental changes, and student-driven solutions for campus eco-initiatives. Students collaborated on themed activities, including waste segregation, water conservation, plant identification, cleanliness drives, and awareness poster campaigns on electricity, water, recycling, and green transportation.
Celebrations
On 21st February 2025, the Department of Business Management celebrated Management Day with a series of engaging events promoting leadership, innovation, and student participation. The day began with a formal inauguration, addresses by esteemed guests, and the unveiling of the Impact Club’s Express Magazine. Chief Guest Mrs. Anusha Vijaykanth, Associate Director HR at Virtusa, inspired students with her presence and insights. Events like Scam Slam, Campus Shark Tank, Inbox Intelligence, and Jingle Jam encouraged creativity, critical thinking, and entrepreneurial spirit. The celebration concluded with lively student-run food stalls, making it a well-rounded and memorable occasion.
Field Trip:
On 20th September 2024, BBA III year students of St. Pious College visited Masqati Dairy and Parle Confectionery as part of an industrial tour organized by the Department of Business Administration. The visit provided practical insights into manufacturing processes, quality control, and business operations. Students observed real-time production at both factories, gaining valuable exposure to the functioning of top FMCG brands and connecting academic learning with industry practices.
On 20th September 2024, BBA II year students visited Parle-G, Bee Fresh Apiculture, and Masqati Dairy, organized by the Department of Business Management. The visit offered insights into biscuit manufacturing, beekeeping, and dairy production. Students observed real-time processes, interacted with industry professionals, and gained valuable practical exposure to business operations.
On 18th January 2025, the Impact Club Orientation brought together BBA students, faculty, Dr. Shushma (Dean of MBA) and Latha Ma’am (HOD, BBA). The event included a badge ceremony for the new council and inspiring messages on leadership, teamwork, and active participation, setting the tone for a productive year ahead. Students were encouraged to embrace responsibilities, contribute actively, and make the most of every opportunity through the club’s initiatives.
