About Hindi Department

Hindi is the national language of India. Department of Hindi repository of invaluable knowledge of ancient Hindi Literature. The Department through its committed efforts achieved a pass percentage of 99% by conducting Unit Tests ,Quarterly Exams and Pre-Final for the students. Besides academics the Department also strives in conducting competitions in Quiz, Debates, Poem Recitation by which subject confidence among students is promoted. Students are also encouraged to participate in Inter-collegiate competitions. Students class projects are also encouraged. Department is providing a library of 2000 books. Students are motivated by means of camtasia and power point presentation.

Hindi Department - Objectives

  • To preserve and promote India’s linguistic interests related to Hindi language globally
  • To instill human values inherent in its literature
  • To facilitate children to develop love for reading and assessing the characters and language usage
  • To develop many essential skills of vocabulary enhancement and building sentences
  • To apply the new words learnt in their daily spoken language using Hindi grammar book

    • Workshop: On 3rd and 4th semester syllabus at Nizam College on 5th Aug,2017
    • Guest Lecture: Guest Lecture by Dr. Shivhar Biradar from Aurora Degree College on "Hindi Dasha aur Dhisha" on 4th sep,2017
    • Extension Activities: "Share a meal" at Divya Disha Balikaniketan, Bodduppal
    • Outreach Program: Murukula Basthi on 15th aug,2017

    Hindi Department - Clubs

    We celebrate Hindi divas on 14th September every year.We conduct various Competitions such as Essay writing,Singing,Reading,Poetry,Debate

    Telugu

    • Telugu is also offered as second language since the inception of the college in 1993.
    • Dr. V.V.M. Hymavathi (M.A. (Telugu), M.Phil) has been awarded Ph.D. from O.U. recently
    • Eminent Scholars & Acadamicians are invited every year to enlighten the students regarding the recent developments and trends of the subject
    • The Students are trained to use multi-lingual software - LEAP Office, Unicode, etc to improve their technical skills and complete their projects
    • Voice Recorder is used to improve the students' speaking abilities like modulation, pronounciation & subtle intonations of the language
    • Students are encouraged to bring out and enhance their creativity through collegiate, Inter-collegiate & University Competitions
    • Some of the main events are: Poetry Writing, Recitation, Story Telling & writing, Elocution & Quiz Competitions
    • The department continuously endeavours to enhance the subject knowledge through remedial classes and thereby boosts the morale of the students
    • Students awareness of socio-economic conditions and social responsibilities is highlighted through community development programmes such as STREET PLAYS
    • Students are kept updated on matters related to higher studies, Job opportunities and important current events of the department
    • Staff visit nearby schools, every year, to conduct cultural & literary competitions in an attempt to bring out the creativity of the school children
    • The department has the credit of claiming 100% result with the highest mark of 100

    Telugu Department - STUDENT ACTIVITIES

    • 9th Sept 2016: The department conducted several activities on the occasion of “Telangana Basha Dinostavam”.

    Telugu Department - EXHIBITION

    Telugu Department students exhibited artifacts of our nativity, culture and historic places. To name few

    • 1000 Pillar Temple: Historical place of Kakatiya Kingdom situated in Warangal.
    • Batukamma: An Festival of Telangana State.
    • Sankranthi: The festival of Farmers at harvest time.
    • My Village: Exhibits showing, different people with their artisans.
    • Vamana: Exbhits showing Vishnu's fifth avathar, Vaman Avatharam.

    Sanskrit

    • Sanskrit is also offered as second language.

    Department of Sanskrit works on building student teacher relationship for imparting subject knowledge by conducting national and state level seminars, class room debates, outreach programmes, Guest lecturers by eminent speakers and also encourages students to submit articles for publications in reputed magazines and news papers, which enables self confidence in students.

    Students are also encouraged to take active participation in Intercollegiate and Interuniversity competitions, and the students have always excelled in such events. To create social awareness among the students community development programmes are conducted by the department. Department conducts lectures on UNI – Code system for enabling Indian languages on computer.

    Because of these activities the department could achieve a 97% of success rate with a highest mark of 98.

    Sanskrit Department - STUDENT ACTIVITIES

    • Smt. S. Lalitha Devi, Head Department of Sanskrit, was invited by of St. Josephs Seminary, Ramanthapur to conduct a one day seminar for the inmates of the seminary regarding the importance and relevance of “Uttarayanam & Dakshinayanam” in celebration of Makhara Sankranthi.
    • 8th March 2016 : Smt. S. Lalitha Devi & Dr. Komala attended One Day International Workshop conducted by Urthcast a company involved in providing high resolution space images on at Taj Deccan,Hyd.
    • 10th Aug 2016: Organized a Guest lecture by Dr. Vijayananda Arya, assistant professor at department of Sanskrit in Osmania University on “Upanishad Adesha” with reference to Present Context.
