About

Department of Sanskrit is repository of invaluable knowledge of Ancient Indian Heritage and texts. Sanskrit texts, bridge the gap between the past and the future through the present. The department through its committed efforts achieved a pass percentage of 99% with highest mark of 99% by conducting Unit Tests, Quarterly Exams and Pre-final for the students. Besides academics the department also strives in conducting competitions in Quiz, Debates, Sloka Recitation and Sanskrit News reading by which subject confidence among students is promoted. Students are also encouraged to participate in Intercollegiate Competitions. Student’s class projects are also encouraged. Department is providing a library of 2500 Books. Students are motivated by means of CAMTASIA, and Power Point Presentations.

Objectives

Objectives of our Department are as follows:

  • To guide and assist students in the pursuit of knowledge in various disciplines in Sanskrit Language and Literature.
  • To awaken students to their rich cultural, moral, literary and scientific heritage and to spur them to make their own.
  • To develop intellectual faculties of students by inculcating analytical abilities and capabilities for sound research.

  • Department of Second Language organized an Extension programme at Sarva Siksha Abhiyan Upper Primery School,Nacharm on 19.1.2024. To encourage & enhance knowledge department has organized “ Fun & Talent ‘ show for 6 th & 7 th class students. From I & III Year students of UG organized this programme

Green Initiative:

  • Department of second Languages organized GREEN INTIATIVE programme. On 31 April 2023. The main objectives of Green initiative is environmental awareness and education, the use of sustainable energy and energy efficient measures, comprehensive recycling and composting and green landscaping in the campus capacity.

  • Dr.P. Swapna priya Dept. of Sanskrit attended the National Webinar on “Financial Empowerment Through Wealth Creation” on 10 th August 2023 organized in joint collaboration of Career Development centre, Gokul Global University, Sidhpur, Gujarat and Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI).

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME:

  • Department of second Languages organized an orientation programme on “ Science & Beauty of Indian Music “ on 14.9.2023. Recourse person was Dr.MRK Prabhakar ,Retd.Chief Scientist,CSIR,NGRI,Hyderabad.

CELEBRATIONS:

  • The Department of English and Sanskrit organized WORLD MUSIC DAY on 21 June 2023,for MBA and PG students, faculty and non-teaching staff. The Resource Person was Ms. Nandini Gowribhatla from Sri Sai Sruthi Music Academy who highlighted the importance of different Ragas in music and their therapeutic and emotional value.
  • St.Pious X Feast – INSTITUTION DAY St .Pious X Feast was organised by the departments of English and Second Languages on 21 August 2023. Fr. Bala Shoureddy ,Priest ,Arch diocese, Hyderabad was the Chief Guest who highlighted the virtues of St.Pious X . A dance competition was heldon the theme “DANCE FOR LIFE” for all the streams of UG, PG andMBA . The Judges for the Competition were Ms.Ravali , student Alumini Mr.Jinna and Mr.Anand , Choreographers. Department of Second Languages incharge for the Group Dance competition, theme was “ LIFE IS AWESOME – DANCE FOR LIFE”. Total 8 groups with 55 students enthusiastically participated in the group dance compettion. The ROLLING SHIELD was bagged by The Physical Sciences students.
  • Department Sanskrit has celebrated “Sanskrit Day “ on 12.10.2023. The programme started with welcome dance by Devika poornima & Nidhi of On this occasion Ms. Uppuluru Sai Sriprada, Singer, invited as guest. Target audience I.II,III Year BA,BBA,B.Com,B.Sc students. Department has conducted Quiz & Classical dance competitions. Total no. students participated in Quiz competition 118 & dance competition 4.

  • To avoid stage fear and to get more knowledge of Aadi Shankaraachaarya, Department of Sanskrit organized a programme on 6.2.2024 . students were presented their views on the given topic. III B.Com CS Shyamala , Praveeta & Sneha presented very enthusiastically.
  • To avoid stage fear and to get more knowledge of Ramayana Department of Sanskrit organized activity on 9.7.2024 on the topic “ Raamayana Kathaa saaram”. In this activity oral presentation given by S.Aadi sri & Likhita students of I B.Com CA. They presented enthusiastically their views on the given topic. Target audience I B.Com CA,BA &Finance.
  • To avoid stage fear and to get more knowledge of BHAGAVADGEETHA , Department of Sanskrit organized a programme on the occasion of ”GEETHA JAYANTHI” on 29.12.2022. on this occasion students were expressed their views on “AN IMPORTANCE OF BHAGAVADGEETHA” . I BSC srindhi, Uttara& Durga Bhavani were participated very enthusiastically .Total no. of students in the debate70.
  • To avoid stage fear and to get more knowledge of “Aadikaya” Department of Sanskrit organized a oral presentation on the topic “ Characteristics of Ramayana kavya on 20.10.2022 . students were well presented on the given topic. I BSc Lahari ,Om sree ,Lakshmi prasanna& serisha were presented very enthusiastically .
  • To avoid stage fear and to get more knowledge of BHAGAVADGEETHA , Department of Sanskrit organized a programme on the occasion of ”GEETHA JAYANTHI” on 6.12.2021 . on this occasion students were expressed their views on “AN IMPORTANCE OF BHAGAVADGEETHA” . I B.A,B.COM,BBA &BSC Rukmini, Nivruthi, Satya, Mahalakshmi, Rohini were participated very enthusiastically .Total no. of students in the debate 95.
  • To avoid stage fear and to create awareness Department of Sanskrit organized a programme “ Paper Presentation” On the topic “ Life History of Ramadasu” on 11.11.2021.Apoorva and Suraz from II B.Com(CA) Presented the paper on the given topic very enthusiastically. Target students were all II B.Com CA students.
  • To avoid stage fear and to get more knowledge of BHAGAVADGEETHA , Department of Sanskrit organized a programme on the occasion of "GEETHA JAYANTHI" on 6.12.2021 . On this occasion students were expressed their views on “AN IMPORTANCE OF BHAGAVADGEETHA” . I Yr B.A,B.COM,BBA and BSC Rukmini, Nivruthi, Satya, Mahalakshmi, Rohini were participated very enthusiastically. Total 95 no. students were in the debate .
  • Department of Sanskrit conducted Debate on “VIVEKANANDA VIJAYAM” as a part of samskruthi club on 5.3.2020, students of II B.Com CS and BBA were participated.
  • On 08.04.2019 the Dept. of Second Languages organised 'Best Out Of Waste' under club activity . The students from 3 languages participated in this event prepared the models like pen stand , water fountain , Female doll etc.
